Meridian Group

Data platform and Power BI so “revenue” meant the same thing in sales, finance, and the board pack.

The problem

Meridian’s sales team exported CRM. Finance exported the ledger. Both called the number “revenue.” They never matched. Month-end was an argument, not a close. Leadership wanted a dashboard. What they needed was a definition.

What we built

HiproSoft started with the decision: what changes if the number moves? Then we modeled sources, grain, and measures in writing. Pipelines extract, transform, and refresh with logs and an owner. Power BI sits on that model — visuals last, not first.

How it runs

Workspaces for development, test, and production. Row-level security so a region cannot see another’s book. Gateway and refresh failures open a ticket, not a blank screen on Monday.

Outcome

Sales and finance use the same certified dataset. The board pack is a refresh, not a rebuild. Meridian’s analyst can explain every measure. HiproSoft stays on for model changes when the business adds a product line.
