Helios ran production on aging on-prem boxes and a few “temporary” cloud accounts with shared logins. Leadership wanted AWS. Nobody wanted a Friday-night cutover that could not be undone. The estate mixed Java apps, batch jobs, and a file share everyone pretended was a system of record.
HiproSoft inventoried applications and dependencies, then grouped them by risk — stay, lift, or rebuild. We stood up a landing zone with least-privilege IAM, logging, and budgets before the first workload moved. Non-critical apps went first so the pattern was proven.
Production moved in waves. Each wave had a written rollback and a named HiproSoft owner on the bridge. The old environment stayed powered until the new one had survived a full business cycle. Monitoring and backup were part of done — not a phase-two slide.
Helios has an AWS estate they can explain: who owns which account, what a tag means, and who to call when a job fails. HiproSoft remained on operations support after migration.
